Excelsior: Leadership in Teaching and Learning
Excelsior: Leadership in Teaching and Learning is a fully online, open-access, peer-reviewed journal that provides a forum to explore issues related to teaching and learning within the context of educator preparation. Excelsior solicits original, thought-provoking manuscripts of various formats, including papers presenting research on issues and practices important to teacher education and book reviews. Edited by Dr. Christy Ashby and Dr. Julia White of Syracuse University, Excelsior is published twice a year. Deadlines for submissions are June 15th for publication in the Fall/Winter Issue and December 1st for the Spring/Summer Issue.
In 2018, Excelsior moved to an online platform, and manuscript submissions are now done online. Please go to http://surface.syr.edu/excelsior for manuscript submission guidelines and the manuscript submission portal. All issues of Excelsior starting with Volume 11 Issue 1 in 2018 are open access. Previous issues are available only in print.
